"伙炭藝術工作室開放計劃 2009"
第六次舉辦的伙炭藝術工作室開放計劃，隨著活動的名氣有所增長，報章雜誌的報導也多了。可以說，沒有傳播媒介的幫助，伙炭藝術社群不會有今日蓬勃的發展。參觀者在來到之前可能已經在報導中得知了許多藝術家和工作室的資訊。比這個更值得慶幸的，就是許多在工作室內展出的藝術品，都是新鮮出爐，電視節目和報導中看到的又多一重驚喜。今年總共有４９間工作室，超過一百七十位藝術工作者參與，足夠您看上兩個週未。
現在世界的經濟，尤其在已發展國家，大大的被金融和服務業驅動著，工作的成果往往只是一堆統計數字（例如用錢搵錢的股票投資）。藝術品卻是藝術家工作的結晶。一般提到藝術家就只有聯想到他們的日常生活，關心他們年賺幾多個百萬，或者要兼幾多份工才能養起自己藝術家的身份。當然以上各項都是值得討論的項目，但來到藝術家的工作室，只要面皮厚一點（一年才一次，不妨厚他一厚），找個藝術家問一問，除了可以知道作品怎樣造之外，可能連背後的理念、創作的原因、藝術家自己的背景、身世……等等都被一一提及。就是這樣，藝術品實在過實在。
今年我們分別得到藝術發展局和信和集團的贊助。對他們一直不遺餘力地支持本地藝術發展，致力培育本地藝術家和藝術團體，實在非常感激。我們深信，藝術能提升生活質素和文化素養，締造更多元包容的和諧社會。

"Fotanian: Fotan Artists Open Studios 2009"
This year is the sixth happening of the Fotanian event. Following the event’s popularity, media coverage on the artist community has been greatly increased. We can venture to say, without the media, the Fotanian community will not have such rapid development. Visitors could have gathered a great deal of information before arriving at the door step of the studios. What make us more grateful is, most art work exhibiting in the opening studios are flashing fresh, some are even just have been completed a few hours ago! This year we have totally 49 studios and 170 artists participating the opening event. More than enough to spend your two weekends.
In today’s world economy, especially those of developed countries are driven by finance and service industries. The product of their work is not much more than a list of figures (for example, stock exchange – making money with money). The art work, however, is the crystallization of the artist’s work. Those commonsensical representations of artist are always about their life style, their occasional enormous income, or their hard effort in working on another full-time ‘real job’which supports the artistic part of their life. Of course all these are worth discussing, but when arriving at the artist studio, you can open your mind and greet the artist. Apart from being told how the art piece is made, you may even come across the concept behind the art work, reason for the creation, the artist’s background etc. in during the encounter. In this way, you are looking at a concrete piece of art work.

We believe that art can improve our standard of living and cultural attainment, fostering a multi-faceted and harmonious society.

時代廣場「香港電影百年展」
特別推介 : 周俊輝光影畫展
「有時候我們記得某齣電影，是因為某一句對白。那句對白，即使過了很多很多年後再看，依然能觸動人心，回味無窮。」香港畫家周俊輝以他精煉的畫功把80年代至08年間的電影經典對白和演員的神態，以油畫記錄，讓精彩的那一幕永久保留在畫布上。這次展覽特別把周俊輝的畫作以燈片方式放於旋轉燈箱內展出，希望營造出電影氣氛，並播放其得意之作重畫《無間道》,，讓大家可一次過重溫超過20 齣近三十年的香港電影經典對白，再次牽動人心。

Times Square “Hong Kong Film 100 Years Exhibition”
Special Feature: CHOW Chun Fai’s Painting on Movie
"Sometimes, we do remember a film because of a particular line in the script, which might still tug at our heartstrings after all these years." Chow Chun Fai, the young and promising Hong Kong artist has therefore used his sophisticated brushwork to capture the classic dialogues and expressions found in local films made during the 80s and 08. Those spectacular moments were effectively frozen on the canvas. In order to elicit the cinematic effect, this exhibition will feature Chow’s works in rotating light boxes. In particular, there will be a screening of his most celebrated 3-minute video Repainting "Infernal Affairs". The audience may recollect some well-remembered lines in over 20 local films of the last 3 decades.

「尋樂．經驗」
「尋樂．經驗」將使觀眾學習開放不同的感官欣賞藝術作品，運用身體的各部分去感受藝術作品所傳達的訊息。除了藝術家的作品，展場裏亦具備了不同的輔助器材協助有需要的人士，我們期望以靈活的形式拉近人與人之間的距離，鼓勵融和。故此，這是一個屬於所有人的展覽，期望能涵蓋不同年齡、教育、性別、背景和能力的人士。我們相信藝術的力量是有效的非語言溝通及表達情感的媒介，並可以帶來趣味、愉悅和滿足感。

"Charming Experience"
The exhibition, Charming Experience, introduces the audience to ways of using their various senses and parts of the body to appreciate and interact with artworks. In addition to the actual artwork, supportive equipment will be on hand for those attendees in need. The aim of the exhibition is to attract a varied demographic and encourage interaction within a flexible context. An exhibition by and for the people, Charming Experience is designed for people form all levels of education, age, gender, social background and ability. We believe that art is a medium of non-verbal communication that can effectively encourage the expression of emotion. With these benchmarks in mind, we aim to provide a context for fun, pleasure and fulfilment.

上海灘誠邀本地藝術家周俊輝
重塑經典 演繹時空交錯之魅
為09香港國際藝術展傾情獻禮
上海灘（Shanghai Tang）力邀香港著名藝術家周俊輝為臨近的09香港國際藝術展（ART HK 09）製作和展示一系列藝術作品，向這一盛事傾情獻禮。周俊輝，這位擅長以重塑的手法對經典電影畫面及繪畫作品進行重新演繹的藝術家，此度將特別製作兩組藝術作品，分別是重現著名華語電視劇集《上海灘》（The Bund）的兩處經典場，以及重塑法國印象派大師馬奈（Édouard Manet）之經典畫作《奧林匹亞》（Olympia）和《草地上的午餐》（The Luncheon on the Grass）。

Renowned artist Chow Chun Fai is collaborating with Shanghai Tang to capture the rich culture and dynamics embodied in the brand. Shanghai Tang is an infusion of classic cultures and contemporary forces in modern China. And this interpretation of "Chinese identity", made by a Hong Kong entrepreneur, had since gained much popularity and recognition both across the border and overseas.
